Purple Bear Books was founded in 2004 by a group of friends who are passionate about illustrated books for children of all ages. In collaboration with our U.S. and international partners, we bring together authors and illustrators from all corners of the world to showcase their varied talents and cultural heritage.

We take pride in developing original stories as well as re-interpreting classics with rich and sophisticated illustrations. We are currently working with authors and illustrators from the UK, Italy, France, the Czech Republic, Australia, Taiwan, Japan, and Russia.
